VellumPDF (vellumpdf.ch) is published by DOGBE MULTISYSTEM, Edem Dogbe's Swiss sole proprietorship based in Carouge, in the canton of Geneva. The site offers free PDF tools that process documents entirely in the browser, with no upload to a server, in French, German, Italian and English.
Free PDF tools that process everything in the browser: no document ever reaches a server. Compliance attestation for firms subject to Swiss nLPD and GDPR.
Merging, compressing or signing a PDF almost always means an online service — and thus sending the document to a third-party server, adding yet another processor to the records of processing. Vellum removes the problem at the root: every tool runs entirely in the browser, and a strict, externally verifiable Content-Security-Policy makes the browser itself enforce that constraint.
The tools are free, with no account, quota or watermark, in four languages. For firms that must document their compliance — law, fiduciary, healthcare — Vellum additionally offers a yearly attestation of local processing, issued in the company's name.
